Show conn prices go UP JEN SLUMP CHICAGO, Mav 28. Prospects of renewed re-newed hot weather more than overcame in the com market today price advances due to severe drops in temperature. The close was heavy, c to le net lower, with June at $1.35 and July $1.36 to $1.36. Oats finished unchanged to Me decline ajid pork unchanged to a decline of 75c. It was a choppy market in corn, but the buying power at no time seemed to he of a substantial sort. Toward the end of the season, selling became general. With shorts replacing lines covered in the day and with considerable stop-loss unloading un-loading on the part of holders, last prices were the lowest so far tills season. At first the prevailing sudden change to cold weather had been generally looked upon as adverse to crop progress, but a complete com-plete alteration of sentiment became unmistakable un-mistakable after midday. Aside from forecasts of high temperature again soon, the bearish reasons included an authoritative authori-tative denial oi reports that the government govern-ment had placed big contracts for alcohol. It was announced also that for the present' the wheat export company was entirely out of the market for export grain. Oats swayed with corn. Trade was chiefly of an evening-up variety.
