Show COMMISSION FIXES DATES OF HEARINGS Street Railway Petition for One-Man One-Man Operation Is Set for June 11. Several hearings on petitions and protests pro-tests were set yesterday by the state public pub-lic utilities commission, chief among them being that of the Utah Light and Traction Trac-tion company, on June 11 at 10 a. m., for permission to operate street cars with one man in charge outside of the congested districts of Salt Lake and to abolish universal uni-versal transfers, substituting therefor the restricted and directional slips, charging one cent each for them. The others are set as follows: June 3 at 10 a. m., the petition of Ed Carrow to establish a stage automobile line between Salt. Lake and Brighton, and that of Alex Gibson to operate a similar service between Salt Lake and the Cardiff mine. May 28 at Z p. rn., the protest of the Oregon Short Line Railroad company against the permit issued to Kimball & Richards to establish a grade crossing of that road at Gregson avenue to reach Liberty acres. May 28 at 10 a. m., the application of J. IT. Welch to operate an automobile stage line from ColLon to Clear Creek, reopened re-opened on the protest of the Denver & Rio Grande railway. June 4 at 10 a. m.. the application of the Utah-Idaho Sugar company and the Iayton Sugar company for a reduction of the freight rate on lime rock from Flux to the factories over the Western Pacific railway. June G at 10 a. m.. the petition of the Utah-Idaho Central Railway company for permission to discontinue the sale of four-cent four-cent commutation tickets and charge a straight five-cent fare within the limits of Ogden, Brigham City and Logan. |
