Patrons of the -weekly boxing shows in the Grand theater should get plenty of battling for their money next Monday night, as Manager Downing announced last 'night that ho would stage seven bouts instead of the regulation 'six. He has imported Benny Chaves, the sensational sensa-tional Mexican fighter, to meet Kid Davis, the local featherweight, in the six-round event. Chaves has been doing some boxing at Ely, New. lately and is said to have regained his oid-time lorm. Chaves has been one of the most sensational sensa-tional battlers in the rin? the last few vears, having met some of the aest featherweights feath-erweights in the count ry. 'while he beat most of them decisively. He has always been unfortunate in running against a snag just when he was ready to meet the best men of his class. It Cnaves is back in his old-Line form the local boy is going to have one of tnc tuugr.est battles that he has ever had. Davis was formerly the champion featherweight in this part of the country, and s.nce his return to the ring a couple ci months ago has met the best of the featherweights hereabouts, and has either beaten or hetd his own with them. Bobbie Munser, the Garfield youngster who jumped into the limelight when he stopr ed Bull Young a short time ago, and who ran into a than a few das later who put him down for the count.
