Show AGREEMENT REACHED ON OVERMAN BILL WASHINGTON, Feb. 21. Tn accordance accord-ance with the plan for a compromise en the war reorganization legislation, the administration bill extending President Presi-dent Wilson's authority to co-ordinate government agencies was revised today by the senate judiciary subcommittee and ordered reported next Monday to the full committee. The subcommittee was divided three to two on the amended draft, Senators Overman of North Carolina and Fletcher of Florida, Democrats, and Nelson of Minnesota. Republican, voting to report the measure; Senators Reed of Missouri, Mis-souri, Democrat, and Dillingham of Vermont. Ver-mont. Eepublican, against it. The subcommittee hopes its amendments amend-ments will bring Republicans and Democrats Dem-ocrats to tiie support of the measure, whieh plans to aboli-h legislative restrictions re-strictions now preventing consolidation and co-ordination of effort, in the executive ex-ecutive branch of the government. |
