Show 'SPEED' RAWLINGS WRITES FROM TOURS A letter has just been received from Corporal James E. (-peed Rawlings, telegraph operator in the press box at the Salt Lake ball park before the war. who is now stationed at Tours, France. Rawlings has been in the signal corps for about fifteen months. A portion of his letter follows: "I came through Paris at the time they were having a celebration In honor of the allied victories and the American fourth Liberty loan, and it sure was some celebration. cele-bration. They had a bunch of beaucoup hardware, which was captured from the Germans, on display guns, airplanes, tanks, etc., for about six blocks long. Some souvenirs! But they were too bis? to get into one's pocket, so came away without any." |
