The prfncipal appropriations for continuing con-tinuing existing projects are $2,500,000 for dredging a thirty-five-foot channel in the Delaware river from Philadelphia to its mouth; $1,000,000 for dredging the east ' river. New York; $1,000,000 for improving improv-ing the SchuyiUill river, Pennsylvania, and :$5;0,000 for silt diversion at Los Angeles. Other continuing appropriations were $424,000 for the Columbia and lower Wil- , laniette rivers a.nd $400,000 for the Mis-souri Mis-souri from Kansas City to its mouth. I Ths principal items of maintenance are for the Mississippi, an appropriation . of $70,000 being carried for improvement : between the Missouri and Ohio rivers, $250,000 for work between the mouth of the Missouri and Minneapolis, and $700,-000 $700,-000 for the improvement of the south- I west pass.
