The athletic ath-letic council of the Vniversity of Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania announced tonight that it will revive all snorts at the beginning of the new term on January 6 and, as far as possible, place them on a normal basis. The council met today and approved a budget for the remainder of the college year which elimina tes, it was stated, ev- , ery nonessential and cuts all expenses to an irreducible minimum. On account of thr fin all surplus from . the football season this year, there probably prob-ably will be a deficit, which the council , hopes to make up by the sale of athletic , associa tion membership tickets to students stu-dents and alumni. The relay races, a national athletic annual an-nual fixture, will be held on April 24 and Co. Work of arranging schedules for all sports throughout i;il!) will begin at once. Demobilization of the students' army training eorps was completed today and all branches of sport, which were turned over to tlie military establishment last September, automatically reverted to the university athletic authorities. |
