Show DEPUTY NAMED BY COUNTY TREASURER Increase of Work in Connection With Taxes Occasions Appointment of Joseph H. McKay. Joseph H. McKay, recently resigned from a deputyship in the office of the county recorder, was yesterday appointed ap-pointed to one in the office of the county treasurer. II. D. Easterly was likewise appointed, both appointments being confirmed by the board of county commissioners. Increase of the office work in connection con-nection with tax collections occasioned the appointments. The board of commissioners com-missioners also authorized extra pay of $25 a month for each deputy and $18 for the stenographer of the treasurer's office for the months of October. November No-vember and December, because of the fact that the entire office force will have to work nights from now on. A reorganization of the county clerk's office effected by County Clerk Thomas Homer was confirmed yesterday by the board of county commissioners. "John F.. Clark, formerly chief deputy, was made marriage license clerk to succeed suc-ceed John Halvorsen, resigned. B. J'1. Quinn, formerly docket clerk, has become be-come chief deputy, and Brigham S. Young has been appointed docket clerk. |
