Show JURY DISAGREES IN CASE OF LYN KELLY Minister Held Without Bail to Await Further Action oy the Authorities. Au-thorities. RED OAK, Iowa, Sept. 28 The jury in the trial of He v. Lyu George 1. Kel-ly; Kel-ly; charged with murder in connection with the Villisca ax slnyings, was discharged dis-charged ' Ity Judge Boies at t:25 p. m. for failure to agree on a verdict, after deliberating since I Ate Wednesday. It was learned that twenty-two ballots bal-lots were taken by t lie jury and that on a number of the later ballots eleven voted for acquittal and one for "not guilty because of insanity. ,J Kelly, it was stated, will be returned at once to the county jail at Logan, Iowa, where he will be held without bail pending further action in the case. N. M. Ilavner. attorney gencralof Iowa, who was in personal change of the prosecution, said the state had no intention of requesting dismissal of the indictment against Kelly. |
