Show URGE POLO TOURNEYS IN EVENT OF A WAR NEW YORK, March 26. In a letter addressed to William A. Hazard, secretary secre-tary of the Polo association, H. L. Herbert, Her-bert, chairman of the association, advocates advo-cates the continuance of polo tournaments tourna-ments in the event of war with Germany, Ger-many, "Players over and under the military age," says Mr. Herbert, "should be encouraged en-couraged to keep polo going, which will afford our soldiers a useful reerea tion when opportunity offers and at the same time keep tip the spirits of the 'stay at homes.' The horses, too, will be kept fit for an emergency call. Where '",ate money is charged at any of the tournaments tourna-ments it. should be urged that the proceeds pro-ceeds he applied to some form of war relief in case of need." |
