Mr. Ranson writes from Milwaukee, where he had been sent to recruit more men for the sections which will soon be sent to (he. other side. He left Milwaukee to sail on the Espagne, a steamer of the French line, March S4. and said he expected ex-pected to be at the front about April 16. He expressed the likelihood that he would be detailed somewhere in the vicinity of Verdun. Enclosed in the letter to his father were press clippings from Milwaukee, announcing an-nouncing the departure of the -young man for the European war front. He is 29 years of uge and a prominent member of the Eiks' lodge in Milwaukee. |
