Show SALT LAKE VIEWED AS SMOKELESS CITY Tourists Who Visited Here Last Summer Sum-mer Report Favorably on Conditions. Tourists pacing through Salt Lake during the sunny days of the past summer sum-mer must have reported most favorably upon the clearness of the atmosphere from smoke, to judge from letters received re-ceived recently in the office of George W. Snow, chief of the bureau of mechanical mechan-ical inspection. The communications are inquiries as to how Salt Lake gets rid of the smoke. One letter is from F. L. Anders, city ncineer of Fargo, N. T.. and the other Torn Ii. D. Lester, city clerk of Wichita, Kan. Kach of the letters includes a request for n copy of the Salt Lake City smoke ordinance. Mr. Snow will send copies )f the ordinance, "together with instructions instruc-tions n to the :ppii'-firnms of the ordinance, ordi-nance, to prevent smoke. 4 |
