Show RULES GOVERNING LIBRARY ADOPTED Appointments Confirmed; Sheriff's Office Of-fice May Be Givon New Automobile for Service. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Jan. 15. Rules governing the operation of Weber county's law library to be operated in connection with the district courts were adopted by the Weber We-ber county commissioners In session today. to-day. The rules provide that any member of the Ogden bar or other person desiring to use the library may obtain membership member-ship by payment of $2 per quarter, the fund thus procured to be used in paying renial on some of the books owned by former Judge J. A. Howell. The library is located in the rooms adjacent to Judge A. XV Agee's courtroom. The commissioners confirmed the appointment ap-pointment of Miss Parry Higgtnbotham as a clerk In the office of County Assessor Asses-sor O. M. Sanderson. On the application of Sheriff U. C. Peterson the board confirmed con-firmed the appointment of Arthur W. Grow as deputy sheriff at Htintsvdlle. Mr. Grow is not a deputy on regular salary and receives compensation only for tb actual time he is engaged in the work. An automohile provided for the exclusive exclu-sive use of the sheriff's office about two years ago has outlived its usefulness, according ac-cording to Sheriff Peterson, and the board today took up the proposition of supplying supply-ing a new car. At the conclusion of the meeting the commissioners made a shopping shop-ping tour down "automobile row" to personally per-sonally investigate the merits of several makes of cars suggested by the sheriff. |
