Show PASTOR DISCUSSES OFFICIAL QUALITIES "Who .Should Re President of the United Unit-ed States?" was t lie title of the sermon delivered yesterday morning at the Third Presbyterian church by the Rev. Walter Russell, pastor. The address was in no sense along partisan lines, but waa an exposition of the qualities which the speaker deemed the nation's executive should possess. The minister read from the Old Testament Testa-ment the passages embodying the instruction:? instruc-tion:? to Moses for his guidance in the choosing nf leaders and drew the lesson that the leader if the nation should possess pos-sess the qualities of ability, puritv of life an-1 strict adherence to the principles of truth. He made no mention of any of (he presidential candidates before the public at the present time, confining his discussion dis-cussion to t ho essential qualifications for the executive. |
