Show JUDGE KING THINKS KANE IS WON OVER Democratic Senatorial Candidate Is Confident of Victory; Says Favorable Sentiment Grows Stronger. W. H. King, Democratic candidate for United States senator, came to Salt Lake yesterday from Beaver to attend the Grant C. Bagley funeral at Provo today. Ife expects to return to his campaign tour Tuesday and will resume his work in Kanosh Tuesday night. Judge King reports that he had a most enthusiastic and successful meeting in Beaver Saturday night and that the prospects pros-pects throughout the southern part of the state are most bright. He declared that the Democrats will carry Kane county coun-ty without doubt. The announcement by Judge King that the Democrats will carry Kane coimty is considered highly important from a Democratic Demo-cratic statidpoln t, as this has long been considered a Republican stronghold. "I am satisfied, though," said Mr. King, "that the Democrats will carry the county coun-ty this election, from indications I gathered gath-ered while on my trip through there. Democratic enthusiasm was manifested on every hand and our meetings were attended at-tended by unusually large audiences. The sentiment expressed everywhere was most gratifying to us." The Democratic candidate for United States senator declares that the sentiment senti-ment in favor of the Democratic ticket is growing stronger and is spreading in every ev-ery direction. Judge King called at Democratic state headquarters yesterday afternoon and spent some time In consultation with Mr. Bamberger, reporting the success with which he has met on nis southern trip and talking over the situation with the Democratic candidate for governor. |
