OCR Text	Show CIITHUAflTJA CITY, Sept. 24. An absolute denial of the report that he would be succeeded in command by General E. P. Nafarratte, now in charge of the Oarranza forces in Tamanlipas, was issued here today by General Jacinto Ja-cinto Trevino. General Trevino said that he was still directing the operations against Villa and. had received no intimation of anv change in the command -of the army "of the north. He expressed himself' him-self' as "calmlv confident1' of his ability abil-ity to check the future operations of Villa. A Brownsville dispatch Saturday gave a Carranza officer in Matamoras as authority for the statement that General Trevino would be removed for bungling the defense of Chihuahua City during the Villa attack and be succeeded succeed-ed by General Nafarratte.
