The locals lucked the contest away in tlie first inning bv making ten runs, and they did not give the old Union association associa-tion siars a chance to come back. John-nv John-nv Keltus and Irving Jensen heaved for the Stall & Dean club and held the Ogden sluggers at their mercy. These two men kept their few hits well scattered and should make valuable players for the local aggregation this season. A large crowd of fans braved the cold weather and witnessed the fast work of the local team, which is thought by many to be the best semi-professional team that, has ever been collected in Salt Lake. Even mnri In the lineup connected for one or more hits and the game developed into a track meet. The local players were all in the best of condition, while tlie old stars in the Ogden lineup have not yet got going. They say, however, that they will hand the Stall & Dean team a good trimming when they meet in Ogden in a few weeks. The Stall & Dean nine will meet any semi-professional team in the city or state, and are eager to get dates at once, as a number of outside teams have already al-ready applied for games with this bunch of athletes. The nine; which is composed com-posed of some of the best known athletes in the state, will meet Cy Morgan's team at Brigham City next .Saturday afternopn and will play the same team at Walker's field Sunday afternoon.
