Show R. A. PIERCE GIVEN FAREWELL BANQUET OGDEN. April 30. R. A. Pierce, retiring retir-ing superintendent, of the Osden terminal, termi-nal, who takes up his new duties as f"i-vision f"i-vision superintendent of the Oresrnn iShort. Line In Pocalello tomorrow morn inn. was the epiast of honor at a farewell banquet given by the union station employees this evening. The banquet, which, was tven in the dining room of tho Paeifle hotel, was attended by most of the t ermirml company officers and also officers of the railroads connected with the terminal. Thpre was no forma 1 proernmme of toasts, but many of those present accepted ac-cepted the opportunity to express regret over the departure of Mr. Pierce from Ogden railroad circles. In return lie aa-j aa-j sured them that, in spite of the fa:l that i he is to have headquarters in another I city, he will have ample opportunity to I visit Ogden at frequent intervals. The i terminal employees also welcomed H. L,. ' Roll, who will succeed Mr. Pierce as superintendent su-perintendent of the terminal tomorrow morning. |
