Show WEST HIGH HAS THREE BATTLES THIS WEEK Play L. D. S. U. Ttiesday, East High Wednesday and Jordan Thursday; Is Strong Nine. The West high school baseball nine has a bmv week before it. On Tuesday the L P " P T' wilt be the Panther,' opponents oppo-nents and on the two days following the Kast high and Jordan clubs will natch their nines with the Panthers. All ot these sames will be played on the West hich d'apiond. Loio Spencer, captain and first, baseman, base-man, will probably get into the lineup a"ain and his presence should strengthen strength-en the Panthers on both rhi defense and offense. However, Allen Conkwrlgln showed much class at the initial sack In the Ear-t high game last week. With Raloh Brown going as well a? he did against. Jordan last Monday, the Panthers should be strong on the slab, Johnson showed' tiiat he had ns much af he ever hsd against the Leopards on Tues-dnv Tues-dnv when he held them to a few scattered blngles. Allen Conkwright and .Tim Browr did' not plav last week, but both have shown class in other contests and car generally be depended on. Jack Malone appears to be the regular reg-ular catcher, and Tes Jnrvifi seems to bf doped as second catcher. .Inrvls worked in the Leonard game and showed that he eould handle the backstop position. He is an excellent hitter and will be used In the out field, when not catching.. The infield had Conkwright at flrit. PMefe! at second. Snelgrove at third and Vlcnetto at short. This combination worked well together. With Lolo Ppen-ror Ppen-ror ba'-k at first the infield should be a fa t quartette. The nui fir Id contain Bill Kaufman.
