Show IHUBE ELLIS'S STICKING IIS MM Slugger Ties Count With Homer in Sixth and Sends in the Deciding Tally-in Tally-in Tenth. Special to The Tribune. PORTLAND, June 2S. The 6 o'clock whistles were getting up preparatory steam before Win Noyes finally got the Angels out in the tenth innlns today. 1 and when he did they were four runs to the velvet, G to 2. The man who broke Win's winning streak was Reuben Ellis, an unpretentious looking fellow with a couple of days' growth of beard. The Reuben party hit one over the right-field fence in tho sixth, with Ryan on first and two down, and that tied up the two runs the home talent made In the first two innings. Then Rube uncorked un-corked a single witli two on in the tenth that chased in the winning run. The other three were not needed with the sluiT that old Jack Ryan was putting on the pill. It was a great day for Rube with three hits. X,ntll Ellis got his four-base smash, only one hit had been made off Xoyes, but after that the Angels began to find him regularly to. wind up with their cluster of swats in the tenth. Cm the other hand, the Beavers gathered gath-ered from one to two hits in every inning in-ning except the third and the tenth, but even though they amassed one more than the Angels the hits couldn't be con- . verted into runs.
