Show WIDOWED MOTHERS APPEAL FOR HELP Call on Commissioner Stillman Because Be-cause Sons Are Obliged to Serve With National Guard. That they were being left without means of support because of the calling of their sons to the colors as members of the national guard, was the story told bv three widowed mothers who called yesterday at the office of County Commissioner Com-missioner C. F. Stillman, chairman of the committee on health and charities. Commissioner Stillman has written to Governor William Spry concerning the plight of the mothers, suggestlne that perhaps either the state or th Red Cross organiaztion might do something for them. The county rommfssloners take the attitude at-titude tlui t any woman whose son lias cone to fight for his country ought not to he allowed to become a beneficiary of the pauper fund. In addition to iliis fact, the fund is so dcpletfi that it would not long serve to gi vp the relief needed. Commissioner A. H.
