When Governor Alexander called on Idaho Falls, through Mayor Eds ington, for re-I re-I cru'.ts to complete the ;moiid regiment of t!".e national guard, the boys were j loth in enroll and be distributed among several companies. But when an understanding under-standing had been renr-hrd with, the governor gov-ernor that company M shouid be known as t he Idaho Palls company, while many wanted to wait for the organization of the third regiment from southeastern Idaho, there was an active response. An enthusiastic outdoor mass meeting was held on Tuesday evening . and fifty-six fifty-six men signed the roll and were ready to leave on the Wednesday morning train. Major DeWitt Olson and Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Levi Lundberg had come from Boise, and Major Chase Clark from Mackay. They left with the men on Wednesday morning.
