Joans, Jr., and William Wil-liam Clark, .both of Idaho Falls, Ida., when they were arrested shortly after their automuhile had turned over near' ( trchnnl, soul h of this city, shattering Clark s left elbow. Hot h men will be charged with reckless driving. William J farm on, residing at 5.")H South Fourth Fast street, Salt Fake, was driving an automobile ahead of the i-ar in which Joans and Clark were riding at the time they attempted to pass him and went into the ditch. He told Deputy Sheriff Hobson that he would sign a complaint against the two nii n. H is ear was not struck by tho other and he assisted in caring for the injured 'lark. ,jyr Joans is an automobile dealer of Ida-ho Ida-ho Falls and, according to the story he related at the county jail, he and Clark left Salt Lake this morning intending in-tending to drive through to the Idaho town. For several miles, he said, they had followed the Ford auto driven by Harmon, who is said to have refused to give enough of the road for them to pass. When a point near Orchard was reached Joans said he decided to pass anvway, but the road had recently been rebuilt and when Harmon did not turn Vint their car went into the ditch to avoid a collision. Both men in the Idaho Falls car were unconscious when assistance reached them. Clark, who says he is a chauffeur, chauf-feur, was pinned beneath the overturned over-turned machine and says he remembers nothing until he found himself in the oflice of Dr. W. K. Emmett, who, brought the injured man into this city. |
