Show AGGIES HAVE RIGI HBPESJDR FUTURE Are Determined to Work Hard to Help Coach Win Out. Special to The Tribune. LOGAN'. Aug. 10. The general opinion among students and citizens of Logan Is that the forthcoming football season will be an eventful one for the Aggies. Whether Wheth-er or not the Farmers will emerge victorious vic-torious cannot, of course, be foretold. But that the coming fall will mark the beginning be-ginning of a new era in the athletic history his-tory of the institution, the awakening of a spirit of introspection such as that which characterized the University of Utah following the advent of Coach Nor-gren Nor-gren in Utah, there can be little doubt. The Salt Lake institution had been defeated de-feated and humiliated and had determined deter-mined to climb up onto the top of the heap. For the past year the Aggies have felt much the same and the signing of Coach Watson to direct the Institution's athletic fortunes is simply the result of that sprit. Coach Watson has made it plain that there will be no loafing during the approaching ap-proaching season and the "A" gridiron men are willing to stand by him. The old A. C. machine will see much bard work this fall many long, hard, weary practices. It is the only way the Aggies can win back their lost prestige, and the fact that the students realize the necessity neces-sity for a mighty effort speaks well for success in their venture. The schedule is a hard one and it is probable that it will be made still harder by the addition of several more games. 'The football schedule starts early and there will be no time to put men into good physical condition before the playing play-ing season. Several things are to be required re-quired of the men in addition to a knowledge knowl-edge of the game. Fighting spirit, conscientious con-scientious training and fair play are qualities Insisted upon. A good lineup is expected early in the year. Manv old men will be back and a iot of husky high school material will strengthen the squad. The schedule follows: October " Open date. October 1A Colorado Aggies at Logan.
