SEEKING TO RECOVER BIG BLOCK OF STOCK George L. Berais Sues for 49,400 Shares of Walker Mining, Valued at $148,200. Suit to recover '19.400 shares of stock of the Walker ;Mi-mn company was filed yesterday in the Third district court by George L. Bemis against John F. Cowan. Tne plaintiff prays for a judgment in the number ot shares of stock mentioned men-tioned or a cash equivalent of $148,200. The complaint filed alleges that the stock for which judgment is ssked is due to the plaintiff from the defendant as commissi on od options obtained on 247,000 shares of the Walker Mining company stock for the defendant by the plaintiff before the rise in values of the stock. It 's claimed hy the plaintiff that the services in obtaining the opiionr extended extend-ed over a period from July 1, 101-1, to February lo, 191b. The cptions, accord- ing to the attestation of tho plaintiff, were obtained from J. X. Walker ana others interested in the boilings of the mining com pa 11 v.
