The matter of the release of Benjamin Brahan, one of General Pershing's scouts, held in Juarez as a Villa spy, waj taken up with General Bell tonight by Andres Garcia, inspector general of Mexican consulates who arrived late today from an official trip to Washington and New York. Mr. Garcia said that he was examining the evidence against Brahan, who is alleged to uavo held a commission in Villa's army, adding that if no case was found the scout would be immediately released. The same course, he said, would be taken in regard re-gard to Joseph Williams, a members of tha Mormon colony at Colonia Dublan, accused of having been caught with stolen cattle. Apostle A. W. Ivins, who for many rears was a resident of Juarez, said last night that he thought the Joseph i "Williams referred to was a son of Frederick Fred-erick G. Williams of Dublan.
