Special to The Tribune. CU;rKN. Sept. 12. Dr. C. K. Coulter. stOgdeu physician for the past twenty mx faan and a former member of the city board of education, died at his home. 12o7 Twenty fourth street, at 12:40 o'clock this afternoon, death resulting re-sulting from Bright 's disease. lr. Coulter had leen ailiug fur the past two inon;hs but hal been confined to his bed onlv two weeks. Born at Mount Carroll, !a.. February 5, 1836. Dr. Coulter spent his early life iu that locality. He was graduated from the medical school of the lni versity of Michigan with the class of 18S3 before coming areal to practice medicine. He came to Ogden in 1SS9, and remained a resident of this city up to the time of his death. Dr. Coulter retired as a member of the Ogden City board of education two years ago, after serving a four-year term. He took an active interest in civic and political affairs, being a prom inert member of the Progressive party during the campaign of IvlS. The wife and one son. H. ti. Coulter, survive. The son ia a graduate of the I aHed btatea military academy at West Point, and is j now a teacher in the mathematics department de-partment at that institution. He was ! summoned home about ten days ago because be-cause of the critical condition of hi? father. There is also surviving one brother. John H. Coulter of Los Angeles. An-geles. Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed today. |
