Show SUPPLIES FOR WAR HDD TO EXPORTS WASHINGTON", Sept 8. American exports of war supplies are increasing' enormously now that converted munitions muni-tions plants are getting into full swing. Figures made public tonight by the bureau bu-reau of foreign and domestic commerce show that shipments of horses mules, automobiles, aeroplanes and explosive, all classed as war supplies, aggregated nearly $JU,UU0f00u in July. The principal increase compared with .June exports was in the classification of "all other explosives, " including shells and other ammunition of jspeciai manufacture, which jumped fromo,91,-92) fromo,91,-92) to $9,329,803. Automobile the only item to show a material decrease, decreased de-creased from $li,oO0,MK to $11,000,000. Horses and mules to the value of $12,-600,000 $12,-600,000 were exported in July as against $10,500,000; 13ti aeroplanes, valued at $880,836) were shipped, compared with sixty-two machines worth $283,312 in June. July exports of cartridges were valued at $2,427,76.1, with the same amount on the preceding month; of dynamite, dy-namite, $H) 0,899, a slignf increase, and of gunpowder, $4,567,91:9, compared with $334,d4fl in June. |
