Philadelphia ciub of the American league bv President Comiskey of the Chicago club, in a strictly cash transaction. It developed de-veloped tonight after Comiskey returned from New York. He said the deal involved in-volved at least JllO.OOu, Including CoUinu's salary for live years. Of thlrf $50,000 is given as tiie purchase price. Il had been said that Comiskey would trade tiie Philadelphia club two players and some cash for Collins and that the player's contract made him manager of the Chicago Americans. These reports, Comiskey said, were incorrect. The contract con-tract provides that Collins shall be cap- i tain.
