Johnson loiters of admiiiintratton to the estate of Mrs. Olivia Cooper, who was murdered in Franklin's candy storr, was fited in the prnbute division of the district dis-trict court yesterday by Attorney V. H. Folland. representing relatives of the deceased de-ceased woman. Mrs. Johnson is wife of a local attorney, attor-ney, who filed the petition lor letters, contending that his wife Is the chief creditor of Mrs. Cooper's estate. In the petition. Attorney Johnson set out that the husband of the deceased was fn India In-dia and could not be reached and that no other heirs or rela ttves could be found. In contradiction to this claim, Attorney Folland set out that the husband hus-band is now on bis way home for the very purpose of looking after his dead wife's affairs and that a daughter of tho deceased woman is residing in this city. On this showinc Judpo Georpo O. Armstrong Arm-strong declined to issue letters to M rs. Johnson and set the case for hearing for two weeks hence. It developed at the hearing: yesterday that Mrs. Cooper owns two roomlni; houses in this ctty and Is indebted to Mrs. Johnson for a part of the purchase price of one of them. The value of the estate was not brought out. The husband of Mrs. Cooper was serving serv-ing as 11 missionary for the Mormon church in India at the time she was murdered. mur-dered.
