Show FINAL CANADIAN TROOPS ARE NOT VERY WELL SHOD OTTAWA. Ont.. Feb. 15. A special committee of parliament, appointed to investigate in-vestigate the charges that inferior boots were supplied to certain units of the Canadian overseas contingent, was organized organ-ized today. The hearing of evidence will becin next Tuesday and the witnesses will be examined by Sir John Aitkens. General Sam Hughes, minister of militia, mili-tia, lias tabled a report of an Investigation Investiga-tion board recently appointed by him to deal with complaints regarding the boots. The report in a general way relieved the militia department of all blame, but found th:tt there were serious faults in the fpamifacuire of the bout1 and that the specirieations were not. in many cases. ! adhered to.
