It embraces some of tho greatest irrigated districts dis-tricts of the country, producing all the crops of the temperate zone and many semi-tropical plants, and has millions of acres of valuable grazing land. There are forest-s of valuable woods, numerous water sites and scenic attractions. The region has a climato which offers sufficient varie- ty to make it particularly pleasant. In Salt Lake valley there Is a combination com-bination of mountain air and saline atmosphere not to be found clso-where. clso-where. The city's population grow from 5S.53.'i in 1000 to 112,000 in H12. and still ia growing. Of the state's 7S factories, one-half aro in and around Salt Lako City, with a total investment invest-ment of 560.000,000, not including the great smelting plants in the valley near the city.
