Show PRINCE OF WALES PROBABLY "BARRED" Rumor That Ho Will Wed Daughter of tho Czar Seems to Be Unfounded. LONDON, Nov. 2D. Tho rumor regarding re-garding tho forthcoming betrothal of tho Prince of Wales and a daughter of tho czar is quite without foundation. Thuro Is every good reason that tho prlnco should wait, especially as the succession Is In no danger from want of possible heirs. It Is most unlikely that he, a child of first cousins, should bo allowed to mnrry his first cousin, and It is a nlco point, though one that Is hardly likely to arise, whether he would be allowed to marry a member of tho orthodox church. It Is quite certain that an orthodox Romanoff would not bo In tije least liko-ly liko-ly to change her religion. A marriage of tho Prlnco of Wales with any Russian Rus-sian princess would certainly not do popular pop-ular In England. The Duchess of Edinburgh, who woa the Grand DuchcBB Alexandrovna, nevor Identified herself with English affairs or ways In the least, but remained always a Btranger, and tho same fate would probably prob-ably attend a Russian queen. No doubt, when tho time comop, tho choice will fall upon a prlncen3 of somo Protestant German Ger-man state, and the question of religion will never arlso. |
