Show EXCLUSIVE FEATURES i 1814HUDS0WS At the Botterill company's salesroom preparations are being made for the display of the New Hudson models, which, will arrive during the coming week. Two of the new cars left the factory July 28 and are now daily expected, ex-pected, in Salt Lake. For the coming season it is announced an-nounced that tho Hudson will be built exclusively with six cylinder motors. Tho new model fifty-four has a great many features that aro found for the first time on a medium priced car. All bodies will be of four, six and seven passenger design. Whoel base 135 inches. Left hana drive with center cen-ter control. Four speeds forward; the third speed is the direct drive with a gear ratio of 3 to 1. The fourth speed, which can be used at any car speed above ton miles an. hour, will give a gear ratio of 2 to 1. These different gear ratios, coupled with tho fact that the Hudson six cylinder motor mo-tor has always been very flexible, will give the new Hudson modols flexibility as to speed and control that has never been found in any automobile in. the past. The new bodies are all of the Streamline Stream-line effect with, wido doors, hinges and door handles being son. the inside. The gasoline iB carried in a large cowl dash, the tank having a capaoity of twenty-two gallons. A very nie arrangement for carrying carry-ing extra t.ired is provided on the side of the car. This arrangements permits entrance to tho front of the car from cither the right or left Bide. All the electric lights aro provided with a dimming attachmont for city driving. Absolutely every switch and control button is placed within Bix inches of the driver's handle. The tops for tho coming year are made of genuine pantosote, tilted with Jiffy curtains. The body and general lines aro of the latest European type. The rear springs are swung under the axle instead of the top, which gives the car a very low appearance, but with a road clearance of nearly eleven inches at tho lowest point. All springs are two and one-half inches wide with a large number of very thin leaves, which adds very much to the ease and riding qualities. Already Mr. Botterill states that both the Denver and Salt Lake 'stores have oversold their August and September allotments and are continually wiring tho factory to see if more cars cannot be secured between 'now and the first of the year. A wire from the Pierce-Arrow Motor Car company states thai throe 1914 models were'shipped from Buffalo July 31.
