Show FELT BUILDING NOW HEARING COMPLETION Increasing Demand for Office Rooms Balances Great Increase In-crease in Supply. Steam fitters havo practically completed com-pleted their work on tho Felt building "on Main street, adjoining tho Boston building, nnd the now oLflcc structure will bo ready for occupancy by March lq. Steam has been turned on to facilitate the work of tho plasterers and a large force is now engaged in laying the ccmont floors. Tho last shipment of marble and tiling til-ing for the interiors arrived last week, and tho selected mahogany for the wood work is being dried so that the carpenters nnd cabinet makors will bo able to begin tboir work within a few days, following tho plastering and laying lay-ing of floors. Two high speed elevators arc being placed in r.hc building, and it will be equipped in modern manner to the smallest detail. Of the 135 suites of rooms, about 40 per cent of tho space has already been leased and it is probable that within a week after tho building is completed moro than, one-half of tho rooms will be occupied. The Minneapolis Steel company will furnish a suite of six rooms and tho Mutual Life Tnsuranco company of New York will furnish tho top floor suite at the northwest corner of the building for the intormountain agency of the company. Furnishings for this suite will bo to match the mahogany woodwork of tho building. Civil, mining and hydraulic engineers, engi-neers, arohitccts and lawyers make up tho greater part of tho' reservations in the building to date, Oflico spaco in Salt Lake has increased in-creased nearly 25 per eent, according accord-ing to Iho estimates of routal agents, but tho rentals in tho modern buildings build-ings havo been maintained and tho only drop has beon in some of the older buildings in tho least , desirablo locations. loca-tions.
