Hanigan, favorite at 9 to 5, won the El Centario handicap, one mile, at Terrazas park today. He stepped the distance in 1:39 1-5. Hanlgnn stole a big lead early, but was driving hard at tho end to win by half a length. The surprise of the race was the poor performance of Jack Atkin. He ran last all tho way.
