Show DIVINITY STUDENT IN SEBfOUS TROUBLE Faces Manslaughter Charge in Connection With Death of Young Woman. KANSAS CITY, Mo Sept. 14. A warrant war-rant charging Karl Blckel. a divinity student stu-dent of this city, with manslaughter In connection with the death of Frances Peters, aged 20 years, a typist, who succumbed suc-cumbed to mercurial poisoning In a hospital hos-pital here Inst night, was Issued by the authorities of John county, Kan., today. Blckel, who Is 22 years old. has not yet been located by the officers. On August 31 Miss Peters accompanied Blckel to Olathe, Kan., where, according to the girl's dying statement. Blckel told her he had an engagement to preach a sermon. Arriving there she said Blckel suggested that they go to an hotel, as they had no acquaintances In the town. At tho hotel Blckel registered as "Dr E. S. Hart and wife of Omaha." When the plrl became violently III Blckel brought her to a hospital hero, where she remained re-mained until her death. Her friends and employer were unable to locate her for several days after her disappearance. Miss Peters formerly lived In Lincoln. Neb., where her father, a Jeweler, dlod a few years ago. |
