A number of Junk peddlers appeared before be-fore the license committee In support of a petition asking that the license of $100 the year for junk dealers be not enforced against them. A showing was made to the effect that the average junk peddler Is dallying with starvation al all times, and that Ihe enforcement of the lax would put all of them out of business. It was Anally decided to place the tax at 512 the year. The streets committee decided to con-fino con-fino produce peddlers to West Temple street, botAveen South Temple and First South streets, until the Continental feed yard Is ready to accommodate them, after which they will not be allowed to stand upon the streets.
