Show PROPOSE GREAT DOINGS AT DEVIL'S SLIDE ON FOURTH Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. July 1. The least of tho many Fourth of July celebrations will not be tho one to be held at. Devil's Slide by the employees em-ployees of the Union Portland Cement company and Wasatch camp, No. S19, Woodmen of the World. Cash prizes amounting to ?250 will be distributed to the winners of a number of contests which will be open to all present without charge. In addition a programme of sports haa been arranged. Two baseball teams representing, tho membeis of the Woodirion of tho World from Devil's Slide and Ogden will meet and cross bats the morning of the glorious glori-ous Fourth. T. J. Van Ilooser of Salt .Lake City will be the orator of tho "day, and Parley P. Chrlstonscn of Salt Lake and Captain T. G. Morris of this city are also scheduled for addresses. Plenty of fireworks ami a big dance will close the day's festivities. In Ogden city there will bo but Utile general observance of the Day of Independence. Inde-pendence. At most of tho resorts near the city, however, special programmes of sports, dancing and other amusements havo been arranged for those who will take an outing. |
