Geiper consumed con-sumed most of Saturday in tho district court. Geiper was arrested at Piverside, Cal., several weeks apo and returned to this city to answer to a criminal charge of .failing to provido his wife and threo children with tho necessaries of life, lie was bound over to tho district court and released on bond. Shortly afterward after-ward his wifo bopan suit for divorce, alleging al-leging failuro to support her and her children. Geigcr ..fcd an answer to this complaint, in which ho declared that his wifo was not a fit custodian for their children, that sho abused them froquontly and used unseemly lani-nagc in their presence. With tho assistance of neighbors and acquaintances of the two litigants, the whole family skeleton was exposed to view in the district court Saturday. After hearing tho testimony. Judpo Howell announced that he would not rondor a decision until the criminal case against Geiper has been disposed of, as his decision might influence tho jury in its findinps.
