Tho vote on Friday last authorizing the issue of $75,000 for building a high school was decisive, and a credit to the city. It was well pointed out during tho campaign for the issue of theso bonds that the old high school quarters were sadly inadequate. Tho fact that the3' were so was personally known to tho hundreds of pupilB who attended that sqhool last year. This knowledge thej carried juto tho hundreds of liomes from which those pupils came, and natujally this had an effect favorable to tho issue is-sue of the bonds, upon those of tho adult members who were property ownr ers and competent to vote upon tho question.
