The petitioners claim that in 1SSS a dee) .cut was made in front of their property under tho establishing ' of a grade, and that a stono retaining wall was ordered, but 011I3' part- built. I?y tho action of the elements the wall deteriorated de-teriorated until it was practical' useless. use-less. B3- the re-establishing of tho grade rccenrh'. they allege that eighteen eight-een trees which the3' set; out twenty years ago were ruined. Their petition 'for a new retaining wall, made about July 13, was denied by the council, thcy allcgo, and the' now ask for a retaining wall at a cost of not less than $-100, stops from tho sidewalk to the house, a distance of eighteen feet perpendicularly, perpendicu-larly, $100 damages to the trees, and the" construction of 11 wagon entrance on the east side of the property. The petition was filed Monday. |
