I Mrs. Charles Read entertained the members of the American Music society and their guests at her home on O street last evening. The affair was the regular meeting of the society, but was ar- I ranged at this time in honor of Miss j Agatha Bcrkhoel. who leaves this week to resume her musical studies in New York. About fifty wore entertained, and assisting the hostess were Miss El-lerbeek El-lerbeek aud Miss Mayue. Tho programme pro-gramme was given bv Miss Bcrkhoel, Mrs. Emma Ramsey Morris, Miss Mary Olive Gray. Miss Janet Williamson. Miss Trma Watson and Carl Sodeski. ; Spencer Clawson was the accompanist. i v j Mrs J. C. Cutler entertained fourteen at luncheon at her home yesterday, and the same guests at a stall party at tho Orpheum last evening. Those enjoying the affair wore Mrs. Latimer, Mrs. II. S. Cutler. Mrs. B.iorklund. Mrs. Fuwson, Mrs. Wells, Mrs. Lambert, Mrs. CoLtrell, I Mrs. Bowers, Mrs. Green, Miss Tomlin- son. Miss Cottrell. Miss Cornwall, Miss Cutler and Miss Heath. Mrs. M. L. Ritchie entertained tho members of the Girls' Friendly society of St, Mark's cathedral parish at her home last evening. Bishop Franklin S. Spalding spoke to the girls, telling of the similar work dono in London which he saw on his recent visit there. Mr. Charles Stevenson, president of the so- I ciety, presided, and Mrs. William C. Jennings assisted the hostess. Tho Undino club was entertained last Thursday evening by Miss Allie Fletcher and Miss Alice Smith at tho home of Miss Fletcher. Musical numbers num-bers were given by the Undine quartette, Miss Virginia Smith aud tho Misses Fletcher. Tho next meeting of the club will be with Miss Augusta Youngberg. On Saturday evening Mrs. Richard Koycs onterlaincd about fifty guests informally in-formally in honor of Miss Eva Madden of San Francisco, who leaves today for her home, after an extended visit with Mrs. Koycs. Mr. and Mrs. David Evans of Berlin, Wis., are tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orson C. Dyer, 2-1 West North Temple street, for u few days. Mrs. J. R. Walker and daughter.
