Show WOMAN THROWS HERSELF UNDER MOVING TRAIN NEW YORK. Sent. 2S. Tu the prcs-I prcs-I enco of a crowd of woman shoppers wnitiufr for an uptown train at the Fourteenth street station of tho Six Avenue railroad, a well dressed woman of 2G today threw herself in front of a moving train and was so badly injured that she died a few moments later. Tha tragic act created almost a panic on the platform. Women ran shrieking toward to-ward the exits leading to the station, and half a dozen of them fell in a faint. While tlio woman "s mangled body was still lying on the tracks a priest knelt I by it and administered tlio last rites of the church, while hundreds of persons who had poured from tho train stood with bared heads. On tho woman's underclothing un-derclothing was the name "Sherwood" written in ink. |
