Show CHARGES THAT HANLY ATTEMPTED TO BRIBE INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 2S. Luther W. Kniscly, member from DeKalb county of the lower house of the legislature, legis-lature, now in special session, signed an aflidavit today in support of a charge made by him "Saturday on the floor of the house whon he voted against the county option bill, that Gov. J. Frank Ilanly 'had offered him a position paj-ing paj-ing '2000 a year if he would vote for tho bill. The affidavit names Senator Wick-wire, Wick-wire, a Republican, in connection with tlio charge. Senator Wickwire has denied de-nied the charge. Gov. Hanlv has declined de-clined to make a statement until after ho has seen tho aflidavit. The county option bill was passed by the house Saturday and was signed by the Governor. |
