A special to the Ncwa from Tcnlno, Wash., says: Warren McKay, a native of Canada, killed his wife and two children, seriously wounding a third, at his home, and committed com-mitted suicide hero lust nlghL Two men on their way back to work early this ! morning found McKay's body, clad In his underclothes, on a trail leading to town about a quarter of a mile from his home. The body was cold, and It Is believed that ho poisoned himself, as no marks of violence vio-lence woro visible. The men notified the town marshal Immediately, and wont to the house to notify Mrs. McKay, whore he was horrified to find tho bodies of the motlior aud two children, a. girl of seven years and a boy of four, with thole thrats cut, and a girl of six years of age, still alive, with hci head crushed by blows of a hammer. McKay has resided In Tenlno for ten years, and has been suffering from a cancer on Ills face, which has preyed on his mind. Ho sold his homo here and went back to Michigan three years ago, returning here' last year when his wife wanted lo return to Washington. The knowledge that his disease was incurable and his family not provided for Is generally gen-erally bellcvod to be the cause of the tragedy. |
