Show FINE YEAR'S SHOWING IS MADE BY V. t C. A. Report at Annual Business Meeting Describes tbe Work Done. The annual buj-lness meeting of the Young Women's Christian association, held at the Y. W. C. A. boarding house, Tuesday night, resulted in the election of Mrs. T. B. Beatly, Mrs. C. J. McNitt, Mrs. C. G Plummet-, Mrs. Russel L. Tracy and Mrs. F. K. Woodruff as directors, di-rectors, for the term of one year. The directors for two-year terms are Mrs. J. H. Boudle, Mrs. Lafayette Hanchetl, Mrs. O A. Honnold, Mrs. A. T. Moon and Mrs. P. A. Slmpkin. and those for three-yenr three-yenr terms were Mrs. K. B. Crltchlow. Mrs. George R. Handcock. Mrs. C, S Marks. Mrs. L. M. Bally and Mrs Marv E. Caff all. Tho reports of the various committees were read and approved. After the business busi-ness session, refreshments were served and the gathering indulged In a good, social time. The past year has been exceedingly prosperous and suceessful for the Y. W. C. A., according to the annual report Issued by Executive Secretary Miss hara IS. Johnstone. During the year $7210.03 was taken in, and the disbursements amounted, to $7171 19. leaving a balance on hand of a little over $f8. Miss Johnstone declares the association has felt the recent hard times materially and urges a larger subscription sub-scription to the membership of the association as-sociation by Salt Lake women. Since last July 3740 people have attended attend-ed the lunchroom of the association; there are ninety-seven regular guests at the association boarding house, and 24,755 meals were served during the year. Miss Johnstone touches on the work done during dur-ing tho year In the omploymcnl, physical, travelers' aid, educational and religious departments of the association, all of which show n healthful growth. . |
