Seventeen owners have incorporated what is called the Uinta Forest Grazers' comp:in3 This concern is e.xpeotcd to be tho official organization of the owners own-ers whose flocks are permitted to graze in the Uinta forest. The articles of incorporation in-corporation were drawn up several duys ago and submitted to the sheepmen at the meeting held at the Cullen hotel Tuesday morning. About twenty-five were present at that meeting out of tho hundred and more Uinta men in town. The articles' were adopted with a few minor changes. Tho small owners of the forest declare this corporation was formed by the larger owners and Tuesday afternoon they protested vigorously against joining join-ing the corporation or supporting it. Tbe capital stock of the Uinta Forost Grazers is placed at $3000 with shares at n par value of ?1. The sclicme as sot out in tho articles of incorporation is as follows: For everj- hundred sheep an owner grazed in the Uinta forest in MK)7 he is entitled to one share of stock in the corporation. In fact, it is an arbitrary ar-bitrary provision if an owner wishes to become a member of the corporation ho must take a share of stock for evory 100 .hecp grazed in tho forest in 1907. Small Men Outclassed. The stockholders in the corporation can voto as many shnres of stock as they possess. This is where the shoo pinches with tho small owners. The arguments ar-guments Tuesday afternoon were hot and at times grew personal. The small owners claimed that the meeting held Tuesday morning was of a semi-secret nature and tha.t when the articles of incorporation in-corporation were adopted only twenty-five twenty-five owners were present out of the hundred hun-dred and more in town and that theso twenty-five represented the big interests of the Uinta forest. These directors are supposed to be temporary, to bold office until the sheop- men in the eight districts bordering the Uiuta forest can meet- and name their respective directors. Utah, Stilt Lake and Wasatch counties aro entitlod to three directors 'each. Sweetwater and Uinla counties.
