Show T STUDENTS WILL STUDY AT DRATDBY Nearly two hundred students o'f the University attended an enthusiastic meeting, "iu the interest of cultivating the ability of public speaking, at tlio board of education rooms in tho city and county building Thursday evening. Judge William U. King spoko to tho stiKlouts on debating, debating clubs, forensic clubs, and kindred organizations organiza-tions iu which this power is cultivated. Judge King related several experiences in this work which ho had at Ann Arbor. Ar-bor. He gave a number of valuable suggestions as to the method of pro-ceedurc pro-ceedurc in organizing and maintaining such an organization. A committee of five students was appointed ap-pointed to proparo a constitution to be presented at the next meeting, which will be hold next Thursday evening at the samo place. Tho members of the committee ure: H. King, of the law department; George Roberts, of the medical department; C. C. Gates, of the engineering school: C. Henry Anderson, of the school of arts aud science, and Frank ilolman, representing- tho preps. |
