Ten years in the State prisou was the sentence imposed upon Eichard Doming by Judge Armstrong in thc Third District court Frida3 In company com-pany with a "pal," on the night of October 26, 3D07. Doming relieved Daniel Webster, colored, of 1.20. The following flay Demiug was arrested ar-rested and placed in tho count' jail, where he pla3'cd sick so effectively that he was removed to the Holy Cross hospital hos-pital for treatment. "Within a short time after his arrival at the hospital Demiug escaped in his night clothes and for a time all trace of him was lost. He was subsequently arrested at Huntington. Hunt-ington. Or., and brought back to Utah on a requisition. On January 1-1 Doming was arraigned in the criminal division of the Third District court and cntfrod a plea of not guilty; Af. the same time he asked that his trial be delayed for such time as would permit hiui to communicate with his family in Jjiverpool. England, and the time was granted. After pondering pon-dering over the matter, however, Doming Dom-ing concluded that he would not fight the case and acquainted District Attorney Attor-ney Loofbourow with his desire to plead , guijty. This was satisfactory to Mr. Loofbourow Loof-bourow nnd Friday afternoon Doming appeared in court, withdrew his plea of not guilty and entered a pica of guilty. Upon the suggestion of Mr. Loofbourow he was then sentenced lo ten years iu tho State prison. |
